Santa Sleigh Ride I am looking for volunteers to help with this years's Santa Sleigh Ride, to volunteer please complete thevolunteer registration form. The Santa Sleigh Ride is an event I coordinate in Ormond Lakes (off of US-1). The Dream-A-Wish Foundation provides Santa and he's sleigh, and he comes to Ormond Lakes and gives rides on his sleigh to children. Tickets are sold per child or adult for the ride, and all proceeds go the Dream-A-Wish Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that helps mentally challenged children have a good holiday season. Note: This is a private community event for Ormond Lakes residents only. Volunteering tasks will be assigned, but only 20 volunteers are needed, and are on a first come first serve basis. You will receive a notification by December 2, to let you know if your service is needed, or if you are a backup. Reminders will be given on December 9, and any backups needed will be notified. Volunteer requirements are volunteers must be cheerful and willing to take direction from myself or other coordinators. Tasks include, but not limited to, greeting people, crowd control, arts and crafts assistance, check-in, getting feedback from attendees, and working with/supervising children. The event is held in my neighborhood to provide the children of my community a magical night with Santa on his sleigh, while collecting donations for the Dream-A-Wish Foundation. The Dream-A-Wish Foundation makes dreams come true for physically or mentally challenged, special needs children in the Central Florida area. |
